About us
Wine and History, Your Passport to the Lands Around CarcassonneA small team of qualified guides brought together by a shared connection to this region

A glass of wine becomes a passport
- to a place,
- to a story,
-to the people who live here.
Some of us were born here. Others arrived from elsewhere and chose to make this landscape our home.
What we have in common is simple: this part of southern France has become part of who we are. The wines, the landscapes,
the history, the people. Here, everything is connected.
Over time, we came to see wine and history not simply as subjects to explain, but as ways into the region itself.
That is what we share.

Our approach
More Than Tours — A Way Into the Region
Our tours from Carcassonne and Narbonne are built on one simple idea: you don't just visit the region — you access it.
Wine takes you into estates you wouldn't enter on your own. istory gives meaning to landscapes that might otherwise remain silent. Food brings everything together at the table.
We combine all three naturally, without overcomplicating things.
No wine jargon.
No academic distance.
No artificial storytelling.
Just clear, engaging insight and a genuine connection to the region.
From the rolling hills around Limoux to the Mediterranean beaches of Gruissan, from vineyard landscapes to medieval fortresses, we explore a remarkably diverse corner of southern France — including several villages officially listed among Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.
Meet the Guide
Carlos
Licensed Guide · Wine Specialist WSET · Based in Lagrasse
Originally from Barcelona, and now based in Lagrasse, Carlos brings together two worlds: the Mediterranean culture of Catalonia and the deep historical layers nof southern France.
A licensed guide for French national monuments and a wine specialist (WSET), his interests range from Roman history to medieval society, from landscapes and architecture to contemporary wine culture.
Fluent in Catalan, Spanish, French, and English, he offers a rare cross-border perspective — particularly valuable in a region where frontiers have always shifted.
Beyond formal guiding, Carlos is simply someone who loves conversation, discovery, and sharing ideas around a table or a glass of wine. His tours are designed less as lectures and more as genuine days spent exploring the region together.
Whether leading a wine tour, a historical exploration, or a journey towards Spain, Carlos connects the dots in a way that makes the region feel coherent, alive, and accessible.
